Bike Rentals Near Pismo Beach
Quick bit of geography: the bikes are in Avila Beach. We're at 472 Front Street, seven miles up the coast, about ten minutes by car.
Worth the hop. Our door opens onto the beach end of the Bob Jones Trail — two and a half miles of paved path with zero cars on it. Shady sycamore groves, little bridges, the creek running alongside you.
Pismo has the pier and the dunes. Avila has the car-free riding.
Drive Over, or Ride Over
Driving is the easy version. Ten minutes up the coast, rent here, ride the trail, hit the beach after.
The more ambitious version: some folks ride between the two towns. It's about 7 miles each way, roughly 14 round trip, and a relaxed 2-3 hours with stops. Rolling hills that feel a lot smaller on an e-bike. Most of it rides in bike lanes, but it is a road route, so you'll be near traffic. Dinosaur Caves Park in Shell Beach makes a genuinely good stop along the way, ocean bluff, odd and wonderful playground and all.
The full turn-by-turn, with honest notes on every stretch, is in our Pismo to Avila ride guide.

How Paying Works
You pay when you return from having fun. One hour minimum, then half-hour increments. Past about three hours the price caps at the all-day rate. We round down up to 15 minutes, too.
Riding with Kids
Kids e-bikes and kids scooters are in the fleet, and our Chariot trailer is free with a bike rental. Two kids, 70 pounds max. Littler riders do great on the trail, since there's no traffic to think about.
