Bike Rentals in Avila Beach
We're at 472 Front Street, right on the beach. The Bob Jones Trail's beach end at Avila Beach Drive and 1st Street is directly across the street from our door. Grab a bike, cross the street, and you're on a car-free paved trail in under a minute.
That's really the whole pitch. You're already here. So are we.

The adult e-bikes top out at 20 mph and go 20-40 miles on a charge, which is more than enough for anything around here. Kids bikes are governed down to 8-12 mph. Scooters do 18.6 mph with a 15-30 mile range.
The Yuba cargo bike hauls 440 pounds total, rider included. Kids on the back, groceries, beach gear. It carries a lot.
Full details on every model are on our rentals page.
What's Included
Every rental comes with a helmet, a cable lock, a handlebar phone holder, a basket or rear rack, and a paper route map. No add-on fees for the basics. That stuff should just come with the bike.
How Paying Works
You pay when you return from having fun. One hour minimum, and then half-hour increments beyond that. Once you pass about three hours, the price caps at the all-day rate, so a long lunch doesn't cost you anything extra.
We also round down up to 15 minutes. Come back at 2:12 and you pay through 2:00.
Riding with Kids
We rent kids e-bikes and kids scooters, and if your kids are too small to pedal, our Chariot trailer is free with any bike rental. It seats two kids up to 70 pounds combined.
Kids love 'em, parents love 'em even more.
Bigger crew? We can outfit groups up to 30 riders. Call the shop and we'll sort it out.
Where You Can Ride from Our Door
The Bob Jones Trail starts across the street. About two and a half miles of smooth, paved path along San Luis Obispo Creek. Zero cars on the path. This is the ride most people do first, and plenty never need another one.
Want more miles? Pismo Beach is about 7 miles down the coast, roughly 14 round trip. Most of it rides in bike lanes, but it is a road route, so you'll be near traffic. On an e-bike it's a relaxed 2-3 hours with stops.
All our routes, with honest notes on hills and traffic, are on the rides & routes page.
